Bollywood Beauties starts a new venture..

BOLLYWOOD actresses are heading south for a hot makeover. Kangna Ranaut and Kim Sharma are the latest entrants, after Deepika Padukone and Tabu tried the trick.

Kangna is taking a break from her edgy image in Bollywood to star in her first Telugu film, Ek Niranjan . The buzz goes that Kangna has been paid more than a crore for the film co- starring Telugu actor Prabhas and directed by veteran Puri Jagannath.

Kim has no major Bollywood projects in hand, so she has decided to try and salvage her career with item numbers in two Telugu projects, Ram Charan Teja’s Magadheera and Ravi Teja’s Anjaneyulu . Reportedly, Kim has become quite a sought- after name for item songs down south. She is apparently enjoying more popularity than the current item queen in south Indian cinema Mumaith Khan, as filmmakers constantly look for a fresh face.

Recently, Deepika shot an item number for a Telugu movie, Love 4 Ever . The song was choreographed by Bollywood’s Ahmed Khan.

Despite Deepika’s presence, the film with new faces in the cast didn’t see much success.

Earlier, Tabu opted for a bold makeover with two Telugu films, Pandurangadu and Idi Sangathi . “ It is a role that I never attempted before. I didn’t plan for this project though, it just fell in my lap,” Tabu had said about Pandurangadu , a period film. Tabu hasn’t had much of success in Bollywood of late, and hasn’t signed a new Hindi film in quite some time. Her only upcoming Bollywood flick is the muchdelayed Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai , co- starring Govinda. “ I can’t sit at home and wait for something big to come my way,” she said about her southern sojourn.

While on Kangna, she had been making news about her sultry sequences in the justreleased Ek Niranjan for quite some time.

Rumours were rife that Kangana was all set to go nude in the film and she didn’t want to use a body double for those sizzling shots.

However, Kangna had quickly clarified that she had no nude scene in the film or in any other upcoming film. She has further insisted that she will not essay a role that requires nudity. For the uninitiated, she plays a guitar teacher in Ek Niranjan . “ I had to work extra hard for my film and I’m happy with the way it’s turned out. Scenes in the script were translated to me in Hindi or English. This helped me understand and get the emotions right.” she said.

Kangna’s sultry avatar in Ek Niranjan , however, hasn’t impressed critics. “ Kangna’s Telugu debut can’t be raved about.

Kangna surely looks pretty but as far as performance goes, there’s nothing much to write about,” states an online review of the film.

Similarly, Kim has failed to amaze critics with her item act. A critic writes that another number in the film that has “ Chiranjeevi doing a cameo with Mumaith Khan is sure to bring in the audiences but Kim Sharma’s item number seemed unwarranted”.
