Cancer is a kind of disease in that a group of cells show uncontrolled growth. The branch of medicine related with the research study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer known as Oncology.

Cancer might affect people at all age group, even mother’s fetuses, but the main risk for most varieties increases with different age group. According to the latest research study, Cancer causes nearly 13% of all human deaths.

Nearly all type of cancers are caused by very rare abnormalities in the genetic material of the transformed cells. These very rare abnormalities might be because of the effects of carcinogens, like tobacco smoke, chemical, radiation or infectious agents.

Diagnosis of cancer

Diagnosis of cancer usually requires the histologic examination of a tissue biopsy specimen by a pathologist, although the beginning indication of malignancy can be many symptoms or radiographic imaging very rare abnormalities.

Most of the cancers can be treated and some even cured, depending on the specific type of cancer, its location, and different stages. Once cancer has been diagnosed, then it is usually treated with a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Types of cancer

• Carcinoma: It is a malignant tumors mainly derived from epithelial cells. This group largely represents the most common cancers, including the common forms of prostate, breast, colon cancer and lung.
• Leukemia and lymphoma: It is a malignancies mainly derived from hematopoietic cells
• Sarcoma: It is a malignant tumors mainly derived from mesenchymal cell or connective tissue.
• Blastoma and Blastic tumor: It is a tumor that resembles embryonic tissue or an immature.
• Germ cell tumor:        It is a tumors mainly derived from totipotent cells. In the adults, it is most often found in the testicles in male and ovary in female, in mother’s fetuses, small babies, and young children most often found on the body midline, mainly at the tip of the tailbone.
