Heart attack… and its Symptoms

A heart attack mainly occurs when blood flow to a section of heart muscle becomes blocked. If the flow of blood isn’t restored quickly, the section of heart muscle becomes damaged from lack of oxygen and begins to die.

What causes a heart attack?

In the period of time, cholesterol plaques are deposited in the walls of the arteries. This plaques cause narrowing of the inner channel or lumen of the artery and hardening of the arterial walls. Thus arteries cannot supply enough blood to support normal function of the parts of the body. When the heart muscle doesn’t get sufficient blood supply it will cause ache in the muscle. This ache is known as Angina.
