Lava Kusa … An animated cinema coming in December

The US$ 5 million lavishly-made epic saga in animation – Lava Kusa – The Warrior Twins is likely to be released across India in the last week of December or first week of January.

The film is being made in Hindi, English and Telugu. Though all the versions will be the same as far as the content is concerned, the English version is likely to include songs in Hindi. It will be later dubbed into Tamil, Oriya, Bengali and other Indian languages.

Unlike the trend of getting top actors and actresses to dub for the main characters, this film has gone in for professional dubbing artistes to do the job.

LAVAKUSA

Lava Kusa is a joint venture of RVML Animation and Kanipakam Creations. RVML Animation has developed the concept, script and screenplay and the film is directed by veteran director Dhavala Sathyam.

The film with two hours running time, took three years to complete. With the best of animators from Philippines as well as India working on the project, the film is expected to touch new highs in the Indian animation industry. Over 300 animators are said to have worked on it at RVML Studios, Hyderabad.

The music has been given by L Vaidyanathan. The film has five song sequences amounting to duration of 29 minutes. The Hindi lyrics have been written by Dharmesh Tiwari and Pandit Kiran Mishra and Telugu lyrics have been penned by Veturi Sundara Rama Murthy. These are sung by K J Yesudas, Shankar Mahadevan, Chitra and Sadhana Sargam.

Ramayana is a mesmerizing epic and the story of Lava and Kusa symbolises the valour of Rama and endurance of Sita. Thus this will be a film that kids will definitely look forward to.
